Who Are We?

Hanley Welding & Equine Services is owned and operated by Adam & Erin Hanley.

A lot of people in the horse world are familiar with our background. For those whom we haven’t met yet, here’s a bit about us!

Adam Hanley

Adam Hanley, as a 9-year-old lad, headed off to a local pony club camp to give horse riding a go. From that day on, he was well and truly hooked! Through his pony club years, he had a lot of success at one-day events and PCAV State Horse Trials. However, showjumping began to take over as his number one passion. Travelling to shows throughout Victoria and interstate, he campaigned many of his OTT horses to a high level, with lots of success competing in 1.40m classes, high jumps, six bars, and later going on to compete in World Cup qualifiers with the very consistent but quirky thoroughbred “JIMMY DEAN”.

Erin Hanley

Erin Hanley (or Erin Hands in a former life) began riding at a very young age. As a tiny tot in the show ring classes at Melbourne Royal and later on at pony club where she attended Lilydale PC for many years, it wasn’t long before the eventing bug grabbed hold of her! By her early teens, she was one of the country’s most talented junior/young riders, with success at Melb 3DE, Naracoorte, Wandin, and many more. As Erin progressed through to the top level, she had major success with two of her OTT horses, “NEGATIVE BLAZE” and “DOUBLE EXPOSURE”.
Erin and Negative Blaze went on to become Australian champions and represented their country overseas as a member of the Australian Eventing team.
Now, during our spare time, we enjoy training a small team of racehorses and re-educating off-the-track horses into their new equestrian life as performance horses.

We have been building stables and horse products for many years! With our horse knowledge from many decades of educating, competing, and campaigning horses at a high level, we know what works and what doesn’t, we know what is safe and what is definitely “NOT SAFE!”
And we know better than anyone the importance you place on having projects completed to the highest quality.
Cheers and ride safe!
